Sgaia’s Original Steaks are ready to eat as they are if desired, but cooking will further enhance their taste and texture. They are best when sizzled in a well-oiled pan, and even better with a touch of soya sauce!

These vegan steaks can also be griddled, barbecued, and even microwaved for no longer than 45 seconds at 1000W. Or, add them straight into stews and sauces in the last 5 minutes of cooking. Oven roasting is not advised.

Try Sgaia’s Original Steaks stuffed in a sandwich, stirred into stir-fries, or sliced onto mashed potato with some homemade peppercorn sauce…yum!

Being a small business based in Scotland, Sgaia began due to a desire to recreate the national treasure of the Lorne sausage, only this time it would be vegan! Bored of flavourless burgers, the team did a great deal of research and development to provide foods with uncompromised taste whilst packing in the protein.
