Nutty Artisan Food Co’s Aged with Wild Garlic is another one for the allium-lovers! Loved by foragers everywhere, wild garlic (AKA ramsons, wood garlic, bear garlic, and many more!) is the refreshingly zingy yet milder cousin to the more widely-known bulbs of garlic; it gives a somewhat sweet yet peppery taste, so it’s perfect for those who can’t bear stronger garlic flavours.

Made with cashews, wild and granulated garlic, cultures, and aged with an air curing process, it’s a deliciously moreish cheese that, whilst mellow, is sure to keep the vampires at bay!

Its robust flavour works extremely well in sandwiches, salads, pasta and pizza. It would be very much at home on a vegan cheeseboard with crackers, crudités and punchy pickles!

Nutty Artisan Food Co’s challenge was always to create plant-based alternatives that really tasted like cheese, and not like plastic! After many failed experiments in the home kitchen, Carol created the prototype of their now iconic and award winning ‘Simply Blue’ – which has won a 2023 Great Taste Award, and in 2022, took home the Vegan Cheese Award for best vegan blue cheese in the world! After receiving a great reception to the prototype, she began selling to friends and neighbours, and with the help and encouragement of her daughter Yessica, Carol began taking things more seriously and set up Nutty Artisan Food Co in La Linea de la Concepción in Southern Spain in 2018. Using the highest quality Tanzanian cashews, slowly fermented with live cultures, and salt, the team ensures that all their products are clean-label, with just a handful of ingredients. Each cheese is formed by hand in their workshop and lovingly turned daily. All Nutty Artisan Food Co’s products are, and always will be, 100% vegan – they pride themselves on being ‘the 21st century cheesemonger’, and that’s why we love them!
