Honest Toil is a small collaborative project based in Messina, Peloponnese, Greece. Far from the big-scale production of most olive oils, everything is picked by hand and pressed within hours at the local press. And it’s never a blend.
An extremely smooth, full-bodied extra virgin olive oil, with a light peppery spice and flavours of fresh-cut grass, this is truly an exceptional oil!
Pressed solely from Koroneiki olives – the variety with the much-coveted highest Polyphenol content – this oil is all “agoureleo” early harvest… resulting in a fantastically green extra virgin olive oil. It’s unfiltered, so no nutrients are removed by unnecessary filtering, meaning it’s a phenomenally green tasting olive oil.
The acidity of this batch is impressively low, between 0.2% < 0.3% so it really is something special. Try it drizzled over salads, or served with some balsamic vinegar and crusty bread to let the beautiful complexity of this oil shine!
