Speck is a cured ham which originated in Tyrol, an historical alpine region in Austria that partly belongs to Italy.
Traditionally both salt cured and smoked, it has a distinctively peppery flavour with strong notes of juniper berry and spices.
Sgaia spiced their Späck with whole crushed juniper berries and a blend of other spices to bring our culinary heritage back to life, re-invented in vegan terms, sliced thin and brushed in extra virgin olive oil.
Each pack contains six slices, each one seasoned individually seasoned with freshly ground red, green and black peppercorns.
