Epos Organic Fairtrade® 100% Arabica Sumatra Gayo Mandheling Raja is processed very carefully, after the selection of red berries on the tree of small farmers who grow their crops at an altitude of 1200 metres.

This is a semi-washed coffee. The pulp is eliminated and then the beans are dried by growers, who bring their coffee to their central processing plant where it is peeled and left as “semi-wet”.

This method of transformation in stages, gives coffee beans their famous blueish colour as well as its characteristic low acidity and full body, typical of Indonesian coffee beans.

This coffee gives in cup a good fragrance combining a clean flavour, low acidity and good body.

Meaning of Epos

Epos is a lengthy narrative poem, ordinarily concerning a serious subject containing details of heroic deeds and events significant to a culture or nation.

The reason why Epos decided to take this name was because it wanted to use Ancient Greek heroic deeds to identify some of their blends. Sicily being known as The Italian Greece it only made sense to use this set of analogies.
